After working on a project in the Northern Beaches together, Carla and Michelle, wanted to achieve more than just a pretty coastal aesthetic. Combing their experience in design, construction and motherhood, they found that creating a pretty and practical space with personality was the key to anyone forming an emotional bond to a property. They have since found a space in the market for a style that is not afraid to push boundaries and stand out in peoples minds.

Michelle has been working with her husband in construction and flipping houses on the side for over 10 years. Interior design is her passion and has now become her focus after welcoming three beautiful and crazy kids into this world.

Michelle’s experience with flipping and styling houses has given her practical insights into what people need to imagine themselves living in a space. Michelle is a dreamer and whimsy is her go to.

The visual appeal of your home plays a significant role in your mental health and overall quality of life. A well-designed, aesthetically pleasing space can create a sense of calm and order, positively impacting your mood, stress levels, and overall wellbeing. When surrounded by thoughtfully curated colours, textures, and furnishings, you are more likely to feel relaxed, comfortable, and inspired. On the other hand, a cluttered or poorly designed environment can contribute to feelings of anxiety and overwhelm, diminishing your mental clarity and general happiness.
Interior design isn’t just about making a home look attractive—it can profoundly affect how we feel and function in that space. Well-designed spaces can enhance productivity, improve sleep quality, and foster a greater sense of balance and harmony. For example, the use of natural light, calming colours, and spaces that promote relaxation can help reduce stress and increase overall contentment. These benefits are not just confined to those living in the space but can also have a lasting impact on potential buyers. When a home is professionally interior designed, it speaks to prospective buyers on a psychological level, making them feel more at ease and connected to the property. A beautifully styled home helps buyers envision themselves living there, making emotional connections that often lead to faster, more confident buying decisions.
Investing in professional styling and design can not only enhance your day-to-day experience but can also significantly increase your home’s appeal when it’s time to sell. A well-styled home stands out in a crowded market, drawing buyers who are willing to pay a premium for a space that feels both inviting and move-in ready. Ultimately, the psychological impacts of thoughtful interior design can make a profound difference in how a space is experienced—whether it’s for personal enjoyment or as a selling point in the market.
